Our society is becoming more and more inactive all the time. As we fall for the conveniences of modern technology we have lost our sense of proper diet and we forgo exercise and work for leisure! We know that proper diet and exercise are the answer to most of our ill health, yet we choose not to do anything about it.
Self evaluation and measurement is the missing element to our willingness and motivation to be in better health. Weight, body fat, blood pressure and heart rate are all critical elements of our performance as human machines. Now, most of us would never consider driving down the road without a speedometer and yet we travel through our lives without a clue as to how our bodies are performing and indeed if we are getting anywhere.
